On (date), Indraloka Animal Sanctuary assisted Ulster County, NY SPCA in the valiant seizure and crucial liberation of over 14 farm animals from deplorable conditions at a despicable “backyard butcher” in Ulster County, NY. The animals were found suffering in abhorrently cruel conditions, each neglected to the point of being severely malnourished and diseased. The survivors rescued included steers, pigs, goats, chickens, ducks, and turkeys. All have been moved temporarily to safety at Indraloka Animal Sanctuary, where they will be cared for as they begin their long road to recovery.
We’re converting our tractor barn to a quarantine station for the newly rescued animals to recover in, and also procuring new sheds and fencing for them. Such projects are estimated to reach $40,000. A generous matching gift of $20,000 has been granted to help with the associated costs of these installations and emergency care for the abused animals. Will you help us match this gift to help these animals?
