Duncan

Duncan †11/12/2021, along with his brother Nugget, was bred at a farm that planned to raise them for meat. Their mother died during the birth, so the farmer asked for community members to foster and bottle feed the piglets.

A kind woman bottle-fed and fell in love with the two piglets. She worked at a school, and she took them back and forth every day to allow the children and pigs to bond. When it was time for the pigs to be weaned, she could not bear the thought of them going to slaughter, so she negotiated with the farmer to bring them to Indraloka instead.

Duncan was an intelligent pig with a great sense of humor. He loved visitors (except the vet) and belly rubs! Duncan was sensitive and emotional, and he enjoyed spending most of his day relaxing in comfortable piles of hay. His best friends are Sandy the alpaca, and Rosie and Sunita the sheep.
