is partnering with Indraloka to bring a fun acting class to the sanctuary.

ACTING AND THEATRE CREATION

Young creators and performers enrolled in this fun and engaging workshop will use their imagination while learning all about acting and playmaking through theatre games, improvisation, storytelling, character creation and more.

Students will begin the class with a tour of Indraloka and a chance to meet all the amazing animals that call the sanctuary home. 

All students of any experience level are welcome! 

Two classes are available: June 1st and June 15th, both from 4-7 pm:

Wednesday, June 1, 2022 @ 4:00 pm 7:00 pm

Wednesday, June 15th @ 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm

$25 Suggested for each participant*

*This class is “pay what you can” meaning that while we appreciate full tuition cost in order to cover the expenses of the class, we will accept whatever payment participants feel that they can pay. No one will be denied access to this class due to lack of funds. We do ask that each participant give a minimum of $10 to attend.

Michaela Moore is a professional Theatre Devisor, Performer, Advocate, Activist, Educator and Producer.  She received her BFA in Acting from NYU and her MFA in Devised Theatre from The University of the Arts/Pig Iron Theatre Company.

She is the Executive Director of All About Theatre Performing Arts School as well as Camp Create, a theatre/visual arts camp for children with special needs, celebrating 22 years in operation this summer.  Ms. Moore specializes in fostering theatre creation with children and adults, including individuals with disabilities and has created hundreds of original works with her students and co-creators. 

She is the recipient of grants and awards from the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts, Procter and Gamble’s Live, Learn and Thrive Foundation, The Wal-Mart Foundation, Ronald McDonald House, the Lackawanna County Council on the Arts, as well as multiple civic groups. In 2012 “Parents Loving Children Through Autism” honored her as their Woman of the Year. 

Ms. Moore is core member, performer and apprentice with The Flying Seagulls Project, facilitating games, workshops and play opportunities for refugee communities throughout the world.

Most recently she joined the “Red Nose Docs” of Healthy Humor, providing entertainment, comfort and play opportunities for hospitalized children and their families. 

She is has performed and produced professional theatre works nationally and internationally.
