Learn & Play Day: Art Edition
July 11 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm$5
Indraloka is excited to offer Learn & Play Days in 2020!
Kids and kids at heart, spend three hours snuggling rescued farm animals, making new friends, and learning about compassion during Learn and Play Days where playful learning and meaningful connections are celebrated. With a safe and inclusive setting, hands-on educational programs are a key component to Indraloka’s mission of striving to empower, inspire, and inform youth on ways we can best care for ourselves and the environment while helping animals in need. The animals are remarkable role models for visitors of all ages, displaying incredible resilience, forgiveness, and unconditional love–all of which we believe are pivotal for creating a safer and healthier world around us. Children are welcome to explore self sufficiency by participating on their own, or adults may participate alongside their registrant. Each event features activities based on a specified theme, and every event includes a tour and meet and greet with the animals. Activities geared towards (but not limited to) youths ages 5-15 and their adult chaperones.
In July, we’re making Art!
July 11th from 9am until 12pm. Activities will include creating take-home art by exploring different mediums while sitting and observing the animals as they graze. Attendees will also enjoy a tour, animal meet and greet, and more. There will be a designated area for adults who accompany youth for reading, writing, resting, or enjoying the outdoors. They are also welcome to join the children for any and all activities. A snack will be provided, please report all allergies upon registration. For safety reasons and animal welfare, no outside food items are permitted on site at the sanctuary.
The sanctuary welcomes individuals to sponsor a participant in order to make programs like this more accessible. If you are interested in sponsoring an individual for $5 or an entire Learn and Play Event for $100, click here.
