Our Happy Hearts & Hooves subscription program provides therapists, counselors, coaches, case workers and other mental health professionals with a serene, nature-filled space to enhance therapeutic work, support clients, and engage in personal self-care.
The Therapeutic Potential of Rescued Farm Animals for Transcending Trauma
Including rescued farm animals in therapeutic practices offers a compassionate and innovative approach to transcending trauma. By fostering emotional connections and providing opportunities for care and empathy, these animals can help those who have experienced trauma regulate their nervous systems and embark on a path of healing. Therapists are encouraged to consider this approach as a complementary tool in their therapeutic arsenal, recognizing the profound impact that human-animal relationships can have on emotional and psychological well-being.
How It Works
- Register, subscribe, submit required paperwork, and complete our Visitor’s Agreement.
- Participate in our orientation session, where we will show you the ins and outs of working around the animals.
- Ensure that any clients that you plan to bring to Indraloka have signed a “Confidentiality in Public Spaces” agreement with you as well as Indraloka’s Visitor’s Agreement.
- Use Calendly to reserve your time blocks.
- Enjoy a peaceful, natural environment to conduct therapy sessions with clients.
- Give clients the opportunity to experience the proven benefits of time with rescued farm animals.
- Take time for your own renewal and self-care in a tranquil sanctuary setting.
One-Time Registration & Training Fee
All new members must complete an application and training process before accessing the sanctuary. This includes:
✅ Verification of professional licenses, liability insurance, and clearances.
✅ Orientation on sanctuary guidelines and safe interactions with animals.
✅ Introduction to booking procedures and designated therapy areas.
One-Time Setup Fee: $75 per individual therapist.

Clarification of Agency & Organization Options
- For organizations, the number of total monthly sessions refers to how many times therapists from the organization can bring clients to the sanctuary in total per month, not per therapist.
- Each session is one visit where a therapist meets with a client (or multiple clients in a group session).
- Each block is a group of back-to-back sessions.
- The reserved time slots are pre-scheduled, recurring blocks on the calendar that guarantee access for the organization. Outside of these slots, therapists can still book additional sessions based on availability using the shared calendar.
- If your organization has 1-5 therapists, you get 20 total sessions per month (not per therapist).
- You also have one 4-hour reserved block per month (e.g., every Wednesday from 9 AM-1 PM), where your therapists are guaranteed access.
- If you need to schedule outside of that block, you can book additional sessions based on availability using the shared calendar.
- Each session is one visit where a therapist meets with a client (or group of clients).
This setup ensures that organizations have a balance of predictable access (reserved slots) and flexibility (additional bookings).
