ThanksLiving — Northeastern Pennsylvania’s jewel of fall — celebrates the life of all beings, especially turkeys and other farmed birds

Indraloka’s largest fundraiser of the year, ThanksLiving brings together humans and non-humans alike for a gourmet feast that highlights the bounty of compassionate food choices we all have.

First, the birds of Indraloka dine on an array of fresh produce. As the guests of honor, the birds receive royal treatment. Adults and children of all ages help feed the birds their special banquet.

Afterward, the attention shifts to the human guests. Catered by the unmatched talents of Chef Sara Liu of Parlor City Vegan, a plant-based Thanksgiving-inspired spread greets every donor with the delicious aromas of autumn.

What to expect

Guests enjoy a heartwarming ceremony where they surprise the turkeys and other birds of Indraloka with a Thanksgiving feast created specifically for them – including:

  • Cranberries
  • Raw pumpkin pie
  • Pumpkin seeds,
  • Spinach salad
  • Blueberries and
  • Other healthy and delicious treats

An unofficial start to the giving season, ThanksLiving offers guests many ways to support a sanctuary at the forefront of compassionate innovation.

After the feast for the animals, guests will enjoy:

  • A delicious seasonal, plant-based, catered meal

  • A silent auction,

Raffles feature fabulous prizes and Indraloka-themed merchandise is available for purchase.

This year, we’ll also have games where guests can vote for their favorite beloved rescued farm animal.

The evening features a live Sponsor-An-Animal Auction that helps develop relationships between donors and animals.

As always, we’ll have live music, time to mingle with the beloved animals, and children’s games.
