Resilient Leaders Mastery Series

The Resilient Leaders Mastery Series is a transformative six-month program for:

CEO’s,

Executive directors,

Founders and

Senior leaders.

It is designed to equip participants with essential skills, foster supportive networks, and prioritize self-care for themselves and those they lead.

The program encompasses a blend of skills training, group coaching, and self-care practices aimed at nurturing resilient and effective leadership within the participants’ organizations.

It requires an investment of five to six hours per month for six months for each participant. While we recommend a six-month timeframe for this series, we can expand or contract it to meet your needs.

Resilient Leader Labs

Six two-hour skill-building leader labs integrate immersive experiences with our beloved rescued farm animals to deepen understanding, foster empathy, and inspire transformative leadership practices. This unique journey of growth, learning, and connection with both human and non-human members of our community will ensure that lessons are memorable and engaging.

Following is a description of each leader lab.

Resilient Leader Lab 1

Trauma-informed Leadership

This session explores the principles and practices of trauma-informed leadership, emphasizing the understanding of how trauma impacts individuals, organizations, and communities. Participants will learn strategies for creating safe and supportive environments that promote healing and empowerment through interactive sessions and immersive experiences with our rescued farm animals.

Resilient Leader Lab 2

Building Resilience

This session focuses on cultivating personal and organizational resilience to effectively navigate challenges and adversity amidst the serene backdrop of our sanctuary. Participants will explore resilience as a dynamic process and engage in reflective exercises and hands-on activities with our rescued animals to enhance adaptability, coping skills, and perseverance in the face of challenges.

Resilient Leader Lab 3

Finding Our Own Power and Power-sharing

This session examines the concept of power and explores ways to cultivate personal and collective power within the context of leadership. Participants will explore power dynamics, privilege, and equity through dialogue, reflection, and shared experiences with our animal residents and learn strategies for fostering inclusive environments and equitable power-sharing within your organization and beyond.

Resilient Leader Lab 4

Conflict Resolution and De-escalation Tactics

This session focuses on developing effective and trauma-informed conflict resolution skills and de-escalation tactics to promote constructive communication and maintain positive relationships amidst the peaceful surroundings of our sanctuary. Participants will gain insights from observing animal interactions and apply principles of empathy and communication to managing conflicts, navigating difficult conversations, and fostering resolution in diverse settings.

Resilient Leader Lab 5

Compassionate Leadership and Accountability

This session explores the intersection of compassion and accountability in leadership through direct interactions with our rescued farm animals, emphasizing the importance of balancing empathy with responsibility. Participants will learn how to cultivate compassionate leadership practices while maintaining accountability for individual and organizational goals and explore themes of care, inclusion, and ethical decision-making while fostering a culture of compassion and accountability within our leadership roles.

Mapping Our Future as Resilient Leaders

This session encourages participants to reflect on their leadership journey, set goals, and create actionable plans for personal and professional growth while connecting with our rescued animals in a serene and inspiring environment. Participants will explore their values, strengths, and aspirations, and develop a roadmap for becoming resilient leaders who inspire positive change.

These sessions are designed to provide participants with the knowledge, skills, and tools necessary to cultivate resilient, inclusive, and effective leadership practices within their organizations and communities in a memorable, engaging, and fun way.

Collaborative Leadership Forums

Collaborative Leadership Forums are, in a sense, group coaching circles. They are an integral component of the Resilient Leaders Mastery Series, providing a supportive and collaborative space for participants to apply their learnings, share insights, and navigate leadership challenges with peers. These circles offer a unique opportunity for deeper exploration, reflection, and connection in a confidential and non-judgmental environment.

Facilitated by experienced coaches, the circles foster open dialogue, active listening, and peer-to-peer support, allowing participants to gain new perspectives, receive constructive feedback, and develop actionable strategies for personal and professional growth. Through authentic sharing and collective wisdom, participants cultivate resilience, deepen their leadership capacity, and forge meaningful connections that extend beyond the confines of the program. Collaborative Leadership Forums serve as a catalyst for transformation, inspiration, and community building, empowering participants to thrive as resilient leaders in their organizations and communities.

Mind-Body Renewal: Self-Care Empowerment

In addition to the skill-building sessions and immersive experiences with rescued farm animals, the Resilient Leaders Mastery Series includes a vital self-care component. This component comprises six one-hour self-care classes designed to introduce participants to a variety of effective and enjoyable self-care activities aimed at nurturing the mind, body, and soul.

The self-care classes offer participants an opportunity to explore different modalities and practices to enhance their overall well-being and resilience. Each class is led by experienced facilitators who specialize in various aspects of holistic health and wellness. The sessions are designed to be engaging, interactive, and accessible to individuals of all backgrounds and experience levels.

The self-care classes cover a range of topics:

Mind Body Renewal Session 1: Yoga:

Participants will be guided through gentle yoga practices aimed at promoting relaxation, flexibility, and stress reduction. Yoga offers a holistic approach to physical and mental well-being, incorporating breathwork, movement, and mindfulness techniques.

Mind Body Renewal Session 2: Qigong:

Explore the ancient Chinese practice of qigong, which focuses on cultivating energy, balance, and harmony within the body and mind. Participants will learn simple yet powerful qigong movements and breathing exercises to enhance vitality and resilience.

Mind Body Renewal Session 3: Meditation:

Discover the transformative power of meditation as a tool for cultivating inner peace, clarity, and emotional resilience. Participants may explore different meditation techniques, including mindfulness meditation, loving-kindness meditation, walking meditation, and body scan practices.

Mind Body Renewal Session 4: Nutrition and Health:

Learn about the importance of nutrition and healthy lifestyle choices in supporting overall well-being and resilience. Participants will receive practical tips and insights into mindful eating, nutritional strategies, and holistic approaches to health and wellness.

Mind Body Renewal Session 5: Journaling, Music, or Art:

Engage in creative and expressive practices to nourish the soul and foster self-discovery. Participants will explore journaling prompts, creative writing exercises, music therapy techniques, or artistic activities to tap into their inner wisdom and enhance self-expression.ality and resilience.

Mind Body Renewal Session 6: Building Our Own Self-Care Plans:

In this final session, participants will integrate their learnings from the previous classes to develop personalized self-care plans tailored to their unique needs, preferences, and lifestyles. They will be guided through a process of reflection, goal-setting, and practical implementation strategies to prioritize self-care as an essential aspect of their leadership journey.

The self-care component of the program aims to empower participants to cultivate resilience, balance, and vitality in their personal and professional lives.

By investing in their well-being, participants strengthen their capacity to lead with clarity, compassion, and authenticity, ultimately contributing to the flourishing of themselves and their organizations.
