We’ll focus today’s Partner Spotlight on the Wilkes-Barre VA Medical Center, a partner in our “Hopeful Heroes – Supporting our Veterans” program. Thanks to a generous grant, we’ve been able to welcome their veterans to our sanctuary, providing them with memorable interactions with the rescued animals on site at Indraloka.
They’ve also worked with us to have our Director of Education, Sarah Thornton, visit their Community Living Center to share stories and photos of our beloved animals with veterans who can’t visit in person. Her sessions help those veterans connect to happy memories and bring joy through engaging animal stories.
We’re so grateful to the Wilkes-Barre VA Medical Center for giving us the opportunity to show the veterans at their facility the work we do here at Indraloka, and we look forward to having them back!
