Loni

Sir Thelonius Makoonens of the Sheepie Meadow (Loni for short) broke his leg shortly after he was born on a farm that raised lambs for slaughter.  He received no medical care for his broken leg, so it wasn’t healing.  When the farmers reached out to us for help, we were able to rescue Loni and get him the care he needed.

During his quarantine, Loni spent his days in the clinic, making friends with beloved dog Baby, and the many cats who live there.  He loves affection and cries out when he’s alone.  We fell in love immediately and hoped for the best when Loni underwent surgery to properly set the bones and see if they’d start to heal.
After a few weeks in a cast, Loni’s leg still wasn’t healing.  The best option for him was amputation and a prosthetic.   Once he’s big enough, Loni will live with the rest of our sheep herd.

When you join Loni’s Circle of Compassion, you’re helping not only cover the costs of his rescue, but making sure he has the best medical care moving forward, including food, shelter, regular checkups, and new prosthetics as he grows.
