In fall of 2022, Sheera, along with 9 other horses, were rescued by Humane Law Enforcement. All were suffering severe neglect, emaciated, and in varying stages of Strangles. This bacterial infection had taken hold of her weakened body, causing her fevers, difficulty breathing, neck swelling, and nasal discharge.
Thankfully, after months of medication, testing, and most importantly, love and compassion, Sheera tested negative for Strangles. Now, she is HOME!
