Gauri, a Sanskrit word meaning white, or shining and brilliant, is the youngest adult cow in our herd who was rescued in late 2021. She was the last cow to be rescued from her former location, and since moving to Indraloka although she has been accepted as a member of the herd, she has made it clear that she values her alone time. Gauri is often found at the far ends of the pasture watching wildlife in the trees, greeting tours as they walk along the perimeter fence, and grazing on the grass she has declared the tastiest. She has a vibrant personality and always knows exactly where she wants to be- and with whom. Gauri is indeed a shining brilliant white light- and we are so glad she has joined the herd at Indraloka. Lakshman, Rupert, and Jimmy are her best cow friends and when she chooses to be social, she is always found spending quality time with them.
