It was early on a Monday morning when the phone rang. “There’s a goat–she’s lying in the road screaming. I just watched someone intentionally hit her with a car.” Not pausing to consider who would do something so cruel, we readied the clinic for her arrival.
After a CT scan, we learned her hip was dislocated, she had fractured ribs and spinal injuries. We’ve been doing all we can to keep her comfortable and manage her pain.
We do expect her to be able to deliver her baby in a few weeks and then she can be taken in for surgery
With our recent rescue of Ayla and her babies, we don’t have the space to keep Princess. So, we reached out to our network and found a safe place for her at Woodstock Animal Sanctuary in New York.
For now, she’s resting comfortably in the clinic and cared for daily by our dedicated veterinary care team
and we all make time to visit her and make sure she knows she’s loved and safe.
While we won’t be providing Princess a forever home, your support of our emergency rescue fund has helped cover the initial costs of caring for her in the clinic.
