Mira was rescued from a hoarding situation. When she came to us, her hooves were so overgrown and infected from the filthy barn floors in the hoarding situation, she was unable to stand or walk. So, Mira got around by walking on her knees. She’d been doing it so long, callouses had developed and she was no longer able to straighten out her legs.
But with time, daily physical therapy, and a lot of love, Mira was once again able to walk on her 2 front feet. If you look closely, you can still see the pads on her knees where she once stood on them.
Mira is an elderly goat now but she does love to get scritches and attention. She loves living with Ozzie, her best friend and fellow elderly goat. They spend most of their days with our herd of sheep and Sandy, our sweet female alpaca.
Mira is a fun and funny goat.
She loves to play tricks on us and is always the first to greet new human friends when they come to visit.
Mira would love for you to join her Circle of Compassion.
You can join it by sponsoring her with a monthly donation of any amount.
